Daesung and Taeyang Pursue Activities in Japan


Top K-pop group Big Bang members Daesung and Taeyang are pursuing their activities vigorously in the Japanese music scene.
Daesung, whose Japanese stage name is D-LITE, will join “THE MUSIC DAY LIVE presented by ‘ZERO’,” Nihon TV’s special live event celebrating their 60th anniversary of opening the broadcasting station, Big Bang’s official Japan website showed Tuesday.

The meaningful event will be held at the Makuhari Messe’s Exhibition Hall 4 to 6 in Chiba, and star skilled Japanese talents Ayaka, Angela Aki, Suga Shikao, Sukima Switch, flumpool, Miyazawa Kazufumi of The Boom and MINMI.

Last week, Taeyang, also known by his Japanese stage name SOL, was confirmed as participating in summer music festival a-nation’s special stage by Japanese m-flo’s VERBAL, dubbed the “VERBAL Presents OTO_MATSURI 2013 × m-flo TOUR ‘NEVEN’ Special Final.”

Also starring young and hip Japanese artists m-flo, CREAM, Matt Cab, Kato Miliyah, MINMI, J Soul Brothers and YOSHIKA, the big-scale live event will excite the National Gymnasia for the Tokyo Olympics’s first stadium on August 11.

In the meantime, the music video of Big Bang’s 2012 hit “Fantastic Baby” has been nominated for the Best Dance Video at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2013, which will open its curtains at the Makuhari Messe’s Makuhari Event Hall next Saturday.
